RV Measuring Guide: How to Measure Any RV, Trailer or Camper for a Cover
Sizing your RV cover comes down to a single number: the length of the body itself, from one end to the other. Accessories never count: leave out the ladder, spare tire, bike rack, propane tanks, tongue and hitch. Be careful with the length printed in your owner's manual or brochure, because manufacturers typically quote it hitch included. Run a tape measure along the ground yourself. If the number lands between two cover sizes, order the bigger one.

How to Measure a Class B RV
Measure the full body from the front bumper to the rear bumper, including the rear-mounted spare tire if it stays on. Exclude any hitch or bike rack.

How to Measure a Travel Trailer

Frequently Asked Questions
My measurement is right on the line between two sizes. Which do I pick?
Take the bigger one. Extra room is easy to snug up with the straps and buckles, but a cover that comes up short cannot wrap under the bumpers at all.
Do I include the air conditioner or roof accessories in the height?
No. Covers are sized by body length only. The pattern already allows for standard roof-mounted equipment.
Do I measure with the slide-outs open or closed?
Closed. Covers are made to fit the RV in its stored position with all slide-outs retracted.
